So what do you do?  I'm a SAHM, for the moment and loving it!  BK - (before kids), I worked in the point-of-sale industry, programming, training and installing cash registers and associated equipment.   Now my claim to fame is a position on the executive board of our co-operative preschool.

Husband/SO Name:  Ray
And what does *he* do?  He is a computer geek!  Mostly works on bank systems.

Favorite ways of keeping fit (form of exercise, eating plan, etc.): 
Eating Plan:  My diet consists of lean meats, fish, whole grains and lots of fruits and vegetables.  I try to avoid the "white" stuff.  I also try to drink 2 litres of water a day.  But, when I want to kick start my weight loss, I do phase one of the South Beach diet. 

Fitness:  I've found an easy, time friendly program called "Lean, Long and Strong" that uses a fitness ball and hand-weights.  Each day works a different body section.  For cardio, my preference is walking (and I may even venture into running this year).   If the weather isn't co-operating I fall back to the stairclimber, but I'd love to invest in a treadmill!

Has fitness/healthy living always been a part of your life?  Give a little background:  I  have always been active.  As a teenager I would walk home while others road the bus.  In my 20s, after 3 babies, I worked to get back into shape.  I exercised at home and even signed up for Jazzercise!  In my 30s I was a regular at the gym and belonged to a softball team.  And now in my 40s, after two more babies, I'm at it again!  For me, healthy eating and fitness is my lifestyle of choice and it's as much about doing the best that I can for my body, as about shedding the unwanted pounds!
